Sydney Thunder captain Mike Hussey has been ruled out of tomorrow night's match against the Perth Scorchers at Spotless Stadium due to a hamstring injury.

Hussey sustained the injury during the Thunder's loss to the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba on Sunday.

Club officials did not specify when Hussey is expected to be fit to return.

Sydney is also sweating on the fitness of star international Jaques Kallis, after a back injury prevented him from bowling or fielding against the Brisbane Heat.

It is a crucial clash for the Thunder, who have lost their past two matches and are currently third on the ladder with three wins from five games, while the Scorchers sit equal on points in second spot.
