DHARAMSALA, INDIA - MARCH 18: Steve Smith of Australia looks dejected after being dismissed by Mitchell Santner of New Zealand during the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016 Super 10s Group 2 match between Australia and New Zealand at HPCA Stadium on March 18, 2016 in Dharamsala, India. After Australia's first up loss to New Zealand in the World T20, we name our Aussie XI for the next match against Bangladesh.

New Zealand defeated Australia by eight runs on a disappointing night on which Steve Smith's men were only set 143 for victory.

Aaron Finch, the No.1 ranked T20 batsman in the world, was a shock omission from the first match and should be included in the second. Mitch Marsh may make way for Finch, with two all-rounders, in James Faulkner and Glenn Maxwell, already enough.

Ashton Agar endured a horrid start to his international T20 career, conceding 18 runs off his only over and should also be dropped in favour of another pacemen, with John Hastings the best option given his impressive season with the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash. Hastings also provides another option with the bat to compensate the loss of Agar.

Josh Hazlewood, who was left out on Friday, has also been included in our squad at the expense of Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Australia take on Bangladesh on Tuesday, March 22 on 1am AEDT.
