The Melbourne Stars have announced the signings of Brody Crouch, Peter Nevill and Syed Faridoun.

The trio join Afghanistan international Qais Ahmad and former Australian Test opener Joe Burns as new signings for the Stars who will again embark on a campaign to win their first-ever BBL title.

Nevill joins from the Sydney Sixers and has also spent time at cross-town rivals, the Melbourne Renegades.

Burns comes over from the Brisbane Heat where he was used in the middle order during a very difficult summer for him form-wise.

Ahmad will be a crucial second fiddle to Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa who will be hot off the heels of a very good T20 World Cup performance.

Zampa will join fellow World Cup winners Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis as the great white hopes for the Stars as they chase their maiden BBL title.
