Australia's upcoming tour of Pakistan has been confirmed, with the Australians now set for their first tour of the cricketing mad nation in 24-years.

There have been some minor alterations to the tour with the first Test now scheduled for March 4 in Rawalpindi, rather than Karachi the day prior.

Karachi will instead host the second Test while the third and final Test match will be played in Lahore. Rawalpindi will play host to the white-ball games.

Australian captain Pat Cummins did say recently that he still has some reservations about the tour with the departure date nearing.

"I think we'll get close to a full-strength squad," he said.

"There is still a little bit of work to do. We have received a lot of information and it has been great. All the pre-tour security and biosecurity work has been done and it's been fantastic.

"There are a couple of players still keen to get a bit more information but everyone is really pumped and feeling relatively comfortable.

"If anyone doesn't make the tour it is absolutely OK. We will back them for sure."
