Ashton Agar is the latest departure from the Australian camp in India, heading home to feature in the Sheffield Shield and Marsh Cup for Western Australia, per reports from ESPNcricinfo.
The spinner joins Josh Hazlewood and David Warner in departing the sub continent after the Australians fell to 0-2 in the four Test series, with both Hazlewood and Warner departing due to injury concerns.
Agar though is free of injury as he heads home, ready to play in an upcoming Shield game for WA on March 2, prior to the March Cup final on March 8.
Despite being considered an option to feature in the series, Agar failed to appear in the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi, with the Australians opting for Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann to make their Test debuts.
While the trio have left India, Mitchell Swepson is reportedly set to arrive after going home for the birth of his first child, while Pat Cummins is also expected to return ahead of the Test in Indore.
Agar remains in the selection frame for Australia's ODI series against India, set to begin on March 17.
The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Series will be held on March 1 at Holkar Stadium in Indore.
