Australian opener Aaron Finch is in doubt for the side's opening one-day international against India on Sunday.

Finch aggravated a calf injury at training this week and is racing the clock to be fit for the first match.

He was rested from Australia's warm-up match earlier in the week after initially sustaining the injury six weeks ago while playing for Surrey.

He was expected to be fit to play earlier in the week, however, he missed training on Thursday throwing his availability in doubt.

Young all-rounder Hilton Cartwright is in line to receive a call up, with Travis Head, who has also opened in the past, likely to bat in the middle order.
