Australian duo Aaron Finch and Andrew Tye have helped the Gujarat Lions to a seven wicket win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL overnight.

The win lifted the Lions off the bottom of the table and all but dashed Bangalore's hopes of reaching the finals.

Tye finished with figures of 3-12 from his four overs, as Bangalore were bowled out for 134.

After Brendon McCullum (3) and Ishan Kishan (16) both fell cheaply in reply for the Lions, Finch then belted 72 from just 34 balls, as he and Raina (34 from 30) put on a 92-run partnership.

Finch was dismissed in the 13th over, after hitting five fours and six sixes.

The Lions reached the target of 135 with three wickets down and six overs to spare.

Gujarat now move to sixth on the table, with three wins and five losses, while the Royal Challengers drop down to seventh with just two wins from nine games.
