during game four of the One Day International series between Australia and Pakistan at Sydney Cricket Ground on January 22, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.

Australia comfortably overcame Pakistan at the SCG yesterday to seal the ODI series in dominant fashion.

The Aussies were lead from the front by Vice-Captain David Warner as he smashed 130 run off 119 balls. It was a typical Warner innings as he attacked the Pakistan bowlers right from the outset.

The middle order then lit up the SCG, with Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell displaying powerful and sometimes unorthodox shot-making to push Australia to a massive total of 353 runs.

It was an assured, if sometimes fortunate innings for Australia. As in between their impressive batting, Pakistan delivered a fielding effort labelled "woeful" and "unacceptable" by coach Mickey Arthur.

Pakistan put down four catches in the field, Sharjeel Khan's one-handed effort off Australian Captain Steve Smith looked particularly poor.

Australia also put down two catches, however Arthur stated in the press-conference that Australia were '50 runs better in the field.'

The massive Australian total was always going to prove difficult for Pakistan to chase. However they showed good signs early in their innings as they smashed 47 off their first six overs.

Sharjeel Khan lead the charge as he took on both Mitchell Stark and Josh Hazelwood. The big-hitting left-handed batsmen looked comfortable against the Australian attack, dispatching them for 13 boundaries in his innings.

However none of the other Pakistan batsmen were able to build on their starts, and it appeared as the match was resting on Khan's shoulders. This forced him to chase one shot too many and he was eventually caught in the deep off Adam Zampa's bowling for 74.

Zampa was impressive in his ODI comeback, despite getting knocked around early by the Pakistan top order he continued toss the ball up and eventually was rewarded with the wicket of Khan. His finals figures of 3-55 off 10 overs have earned him a trip to New Zealand.

Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim showed some fight in the middle order, but the massive total proved too much in the end for the Pakistan batting line-up as they slumped to an 86 run defeat.

The final match of the ODI series will be played in Adelaide on Australia Day.
