Australian opener Will Pucovski will not face India for the series decider in Brisbane on Friday, with Marcus Harris set to pair with David Warner at the Gabba, per cricket.com.au.
Aussie captain Tim Paine confirmed that Pucovski was ruled out of the fourth test after failing to overcome a shoulder injury that was sustained in Australia’s draw with India in Sydney.
Pucovski scored 62 runs in his maiden test innings for Australia, showing plenty of poise and professionalism in his first outing in the baggy green.

Harris will return to the top of the order for the first time since September 2019, where England defeated Australia by 135 runs at The Oval.
The injury blow follows the news that India will be without star bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the fourth test, with the 27-year-old out with an abdominal strain.
