Discussions are reportedly taking place touting Bangladesh as a potential location for Pakistan to play its 2023 ODI World Cup games, as political differences between host nation India and Pakistan continue to cause tension between the nations in the lead-up to the showpiece tournament.

India is the host nation for the much-anticipated event, however, it is appearing increasingly likely that Pakistan will play its games elsewhere.

According to ESPNcricinfo's Umar Farooq, talks are underway around finding an alternate location for Pakistan's matches, however, nothing concrete has been determined as of yet.

Bangladesh has been floated as a locational resolution due to its close proximity to India, as well as the fact it shouldn't produce logistical issues for tournament organisers.

The 2023 ODI World Cup is scheduled to be played across ten venues in India from October 5.
