New Zealand have selected Adelaide Strikers star Ish Sodhi for third ODI against Australia on Sunday.
Sodhi, who has struggled to have an impact in his short ODI career to date, excelled in the BBL, culminating in figures of 6-11 against the Sydney Thunder.
“History shows that the Seddon Park pitch can be spin friendly and for that reason Ish has been brought into the squad,” Kiwi selector Gavin Larsen said.
“We wanted the option of two specialist spinners for this match and it’s a venue that Ish has had some success on in the past.”
