Twenty20 cricket is built for big shots and high scores, and this group of players know exactly how to do that.
Since the inception of the BBL in 2011 six players have scored over 1000 runs in the competition, with all six players featuring in every season of the tournament so far.
Perth Scorchers batsman Michael Klinger has scored the most runs in BBL history, amassing 1274 runs across his 41 matches for Perth and the Adelaide Strikers.
Aaron Finch is next with 1207 runs from 32 matches, and having only represented the Melbourne Renegades during his BBL career, is the highest run scorer to have played only for one club.
Luke Wright (1136, Stars), Shaun Marsh (1127, Scorchers), Chris Lynn (1103, Heat) and Brad Hodge (1058, Strikers, Renegades, Stars) round out the 1000-run club, with Marsh the only player to achieve the total in under 30 matches with 25.
At that scoring rate the Scorchers batsman also leads the BBL with the highest average of batsman with 10 or more innings, with a remarkable 59.31.
Stars wicketkeeper Peter Handscomb and Sydney Thunder batsman Usman Khawaja round out the three players to average over 50, as the pair score 52.00 and 51.18 respectively.
