Australian XI announced for first Test

The teams are in for the first test between Australia and India in Pune on Thursday.

There has been a lot of speculation over how Australia will line up for this game. Shaun Marsh's return has suggested that he will replace one of either Usman Khawaja or Matt Renshaw in the XI.

It came to ahead in the warm up match against India A when Khawaja was left out of the side in favour of Marsh.

Mitch Marsh and Glenn Maxwell were contending for the all-rounder spot vacated by Hilton Cartwright following the final Test in Australia.

Australia has won the toss, they have decided to bat first.

India have made just one change, Jayant Yadav comes in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Australia XI: David Warner, Matt Renshaw, Steve Smith (c), Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Mitch Marsh, Matthew Wade, Mitchell Starc, Steve O'Keefe, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.

India XI: Rahul, Vijay, Pujara, Kohli (c), Rahane, Saha (wk), Ashwin, Jayant, Jadeja, Umesh, Sharma
