The pay dispute between Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers' Association has finally been resolved after almost 12 months of discussions.

CA CEO James Sutherland and ACA CEO Alistair Nicholson will hold a joint press conference in Melbourne at 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon to confirm the news.

With the deal finally signed off, it will allow Steve Smith to lead Australia in a two-Test series against Bangladesh later this month, before a massive Ashes campaign against England over summer.

It is believed the players have retained a revenue share model, although Cricket Australia has updated the model to allow for more financial security.

All uncontracted players for the past month will now be paid once again, as a long saga in Australian cricket has finally come to an end.
