Aaron Finch and Ryan Carters have broken the record for the highest first class opening stand in Australia in the CA XI's tour match against New Zealand in Blacktown.
The pair reached 0-457 shortly before lunch on day two, breaking the previous record set by Mayne and Ponsford in 1923-24.
CA XI eventually declared on 1-503, after Carters was dismissed for 209.
Finch remained not out 288.
