England's tour of India has gone from bad to worse overnight, losing eight wickets for eight runs in a spectacular T20I collapse.
India had set the tourists a difficult total of 202 in the match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In response England had worked their way to 2/117 off 13 overs and considered themselves a chance of claiming victory.
Those dreams were quickly put to rest with an astonishing batting collapse, England lost eight wickets for eight runs in the space of three overs.
Eoin Morgan and Joe Root started the collapse, after putting together a 64 run partnership the two batsmen fell in consecutive balls to Yuzvendra Chahal.
Jos Butler was the next to go, caught off a mistimed pull-shot for a two ball duck. Moeen Ali managed two runs before mistiming a drive to long on. Then Ben Stokes was out for six, hitting a pull-shot down the throat of deep mid wicket.
No further runs were added as Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah ripped through the last three wickets in five balls. Chahal finished with figures of 6-25 off four overs.
India won the match by 75 runs.
