With 21 international T20s set to be played before next year's World Cup commencing in October 2020, Aaron Finch has backed Greg Chappell’s replacement on the National Selection Panel to be more focused on the shortest form of the game.

Finch will captain Australia in six T20I's against Sri Lanka and Pakistan that commence later this month, as the Aussies prepare and plan for next years World Cup which will be held on their home soil.

Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Roberts recently brought to attention that Chappell's replacement as a men’s selector would have a stronger pedigree in T20 cricket and would have a much larger focus on that form, which is something that Finch strongly supports.
