Australian international Aaron Finch has hit an impressive half-century in the Indian Premier League overnight, but it was not enough for his Dehli Daredevils to overcome the Gujarat Lions.

Finch belted 69 runs from just 39 deliveries in Dehli's total of 5-195 and with the ICC Champions Trophy approaching, it was just what the doctor ordered. Fellow Aussie James Faulkner hit an unbeaten 13.

In reply, the Lions reached the target with two wickets in hand, thanks largely to 22-year-old Shreyas Iyer, who scored 96 from just 57 balls.

Faulkner claimed two wickets with the ball in the run chase.

The Lions move to four wins from 13 matches, while the Daredevils have won five matches from 12 games, but neither side is a chance of reaching the finals.
