🇮🇳 India cricket fans, who remember this? Australia embarrassed by spin- Murali Karthik 6 for 27 🎉

India welcomed Australia for a single T20 and seven ODI matches in 2007, and it was all one-way traffic for the tourists during the early going of the ODI series.

After a no result in the first clash, Australia would pick up victories in Kochi and Hyderabad in the second and third ODI on the back of 306 and 290 respectively.

They would then fall to India in Chandigarh, but take victories in Vadodara and Nagpur to lead the series 4-1.

It was all Murali Kartik in the seventh clash though as he ran through Australia to take 6 for 27 from his 10 overs. Australia would collapse from 5 for 129 to be all out for 193, despite an early half-century from Ricky Ponting. Only Mitchell Johnson scoring 24 not out would save Australia from an even bigger disaster, with India ultimately going on to chase the target eight down on a crumbling deck.

Of course, Australia would go on to win the 2007 ODI World Cup in the West Indies.
