The T20 World Cup, to be contested once again by 16 teams, will be hosted in Australia for the first time.
The defending champions will be under more pressure than ever with a build up to the tournament that has seen a mixed run of form against India, the West Indies and England.
The tournament will kick-off with the first round as teams who missed direct qualification for the Super 12 stage fight to play against the big guns.
Those matches will be played in Hobart and Geelong, before the remainder of the Australian states become involved during the bigger Super 12 stage, although no games will be held in the Australian Capital Territory or Northern Territory during the tournament.
