The Gabba wicket is expected to be great for Australia's fast bowlers.

Gabba curator Kevin Mitchell told SEN's the Run Home, that the wicket will be bouncier and pacier than last year.

"Maybe a touch pacier than last year, we've got some pretty humid conditions, so maybe the ball might swing a little bit more for this one," he said.

"It's certainly got a little bit of green grass on it. It's nice and hard so I think we'll get a bit of extra bounce and pace for sure."

“Certainly a bit of unfavourable conditions and a little bit hard to predict, they’ve sort of changed the forecast a few times so it’s anybody’s guess. I’m praying for late storms at night time,” he said.
