The shortlist for the ICC Men's Player of the Month of February has been announced and features three players from England, India and the West Indies.

After taking home the ICC Men's Player of the Month in December last year, Harry Brook is once again the favourite for the award. Exceeding expectations yet again, he has risen to greater heights for the England test team.

During February, he scored two half-centuries and a century, including a career-best 186 runs against New Zealand in Wellington.

Brook ended the month earning the Player of the Series award between England and New Zealand. Although, his series could have been even better if he didn't get run out for nought in the last innings.

The second nominee is Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. After back-to-back match-winning performances, he shattered Australia's chances of winning a series in India.

In the first test at Nagpur, Jadeja took apart the Australian middle order claiming figures of 5/47 with the ball in the first innings. This was followed by an impactful 70 runs to keep India in the game.

Despite this, Jadeja's best performance was yet to come. In only 12.1 overs at Delhi, he took 7/42, bamboozling the Aussie batters. This added to his three wickets in the first innings.

Not to be outdone while batting, he made 26 runs and had a 59-run stand for the fifth wicket. He would later be awarded Player of the Match in the opening two tests.

Following Brook and Jadeja as one of the three nominees is Gudakesh Motie from the West Indies. Competing against Zimbabwe he earned the Player of the Series award.

This was due to picking up 19 wickets in two tests, which included 13 wickets in the second test match. The spinner delivered West Indian magic after being 2/100 in the first innings in the opening match.
