India and England have confirmed their teams for the second semi-final at the T20 World Cup, with England winning the toss and electing to field first at the Adelaide Oval.

England have been forced into a double change for the knockout fixture, with both Dawid Malan and Mark Wood being ruled out through injury in a big blow for Buttler's side.

Malan will be replaced in the batting order by Phil Salt, while Mark Wood has been replaced in the pace bowling attack by Chris Jordan.

India, on the other hand, have confirmed they will make no changes for the semi-final.

English captain Jos Buttler was happy to have won the toss, electing to field first against India without any hesitation.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma said at the toss that he would have batted first anyway, so wasn't disappointed by the results of the toss.

The winner of the second semi-final between India and England will advance to the final against Pakistan on Sunday evening at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Play in Adelaide is scheduled to commence at 7pm (AEDT) - that's 6:30pm local time in Adelaide.
