India has named a 16-man squad for the first two Tests of the upcoming series against Australia.

The squad is the same as the side which defeated Bangladesh in last week's one-off Test in India.

India squad: Virat Kohli (c), Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravichandaran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Karun Nair, Jayant Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Abhinav Mukund, Hardik Pandya.

India currently has an unbeaten streak of 19 Test matches, which is the fifth longest in Test history, with the West Indies holding the record after 27 matches unbeaten between January 1982 and December 1984.

Australia's first Test against India begins on February 23.
