New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson has helped the Black Caps to a 38-run win over Zimbabwe in the third and final ODI overnight.

Williamson scored 90 off 109 balls to continue his stunning one-day form, scoring his sixth consecutive score of 50 or more.

New Zealand had handy contributions from Guptil (42), Elliot (36) and Neesham (37*), as the tourists made 6-273 off their 50 overs.

Zimbabwe started their run chase well with a 97 run opening stand between Hamilton Masakadza (32) and Chamu Chibhabha (32). But after they both fell in quick succession, the hosts struggled to regain the momentum, losing wickets at consistent intervals until they were bowled all out for 235 off 47.4 overs.

Sean Williams top scored with 63, while only one other batsman outside the opening pair made double figures.

The win sealed a 2-1 series victory for New Zealand, with the two sides now preparing for a one-off Twenty20 match at Harare on Sunday.
