Virat Kohli has become the fastest batsman to scored 7,000 One-Day International runs.

Kohli broke AB de Villiers' record in the third ODI between Australia and India at the MCG on Sunday, in his 161st innings.

The 27-year-old went on to notch his 24th ODI century, as India pushed hard to reach a third consecutive score of 300 in the series.

Australia currently lead the five-match ODI series 2-0.
