The Melbourne Cricket Ground's Great Southern Stand will be renamed the S.K. Warne Stand following the passing of Australia's cricketing legend.
Warne's decorated career in Victoria and across the world has been one to behold, with the leg spinner having had a bronze statue unveiled in his honour in 2011 outside gate 2 of the MCG.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground was home to many legendary moments across Warne's stunning career, including his 700th wicket in his final Test match at the venue on Boxing Day in 2006.
Warne also recorded a notable hat-trick at the MCG in the 1994 Ashes Series, one of many great chapters in his rivalry with England, both home and away.
Victorian premier Daniel Andrews confirmed on Saturday that the late great Cricketer will have the Great Southern Stand named in his honour.
Andrews has also offered a state funeral to the Warne family as the world mourns his passing and celebrates his legacy.
Warne passed away from a suspected heart attack at the age of 52 during a holiday in Thailand.
