NSW and South Australia have named their squads for the upcoming Matador Cup.

Callum Ferguson will captain the Redbacks in the absence of skipper Travs Head, who is on national duty.

Head joins Adam Zampa and uncapped pacemen Dan Worrall and Joe Mennie on Australia's tour of South Africa.

South Australia squad: Callum Ferguson (C), Wes Agar, Tom Andrews, Nicholas Benton, Alex Carey, Tom Cooper, Michael Cormack, Alex Gregory, Jake Lehmann, Tim Ludeman, Kane Richardson, Alex Ross, Cameron Valente, Jake Weatherald.

Meanwhile, defending champions New South Wales will enter the tournament as red hot favourites, with eight internationals in the 14-man squad.

All-rounder Moises Henriques will captain the side, which features Doug Bollinger, Ed Cowan, Nathan Lyon, Nic Maddinson, Peter Nevill, Steve O’Keefe and Gurinder Sandhu, who have all represented Australia.
