NSW has romped to a nine wicket win over South Australia to claim the 2015 Matador Cup.
The Blues bowled SA all out for 221 in the 47th over, before reaching 1-223 in just the 30th over to cap a dominant tournament and win their first domestic one-day title in 10 years.
After being sent into bat by Steve Smith, the Redbacks looked set for a solid target, with Ferguson (61) and Cooper (105) helping them to 2-166 by the 37th over. However, when Ferguson was dismissed it triggered a calamitous collapse, as South Australia lost 8-55 to be all out for 221.
Starc and Hazlewood took three wickets each, while Abbott took two.
In reply, New South Wales got off to a lightening start thanks to a quick fire 44 off 29 balls from Nick Maddinson, in an innings that included three sixes and six fours.
Steve Smith (84) and Ed Cowan (88) then guided the Blues to victory with an unbeaten 165-run partnership.
NSW paceman Josh Hazlewood was named man of the match for his three wickets.
