The T20 World Cup gets underway in earnest this weekend, with fans around the globe anticipating some mouthwatering matches. Yet the predicted weather for the weekend is threatening to spoil the party.

Already boasting the record for the most watched cricket match in history back in 2019 with 273 million unique viewers according to India Today, tickets for this match between these fierce rivals sold out in under 10 minutes. It's a tantalising matchup given both countries are fielding incredible teams.

With the game scheduled to begin at 7pm (AEDT) at the famed Melbourne Cricket Ground, the main concern is the weather. Over the past few weeks, Melbourne, as well as the entire east coast of Australia, has seen heavy flooding due to intense rain.
