Will Pucovski has been named to return for Victoria's Second XI for the first time in six months.

Over the last six months, Pucovski has been playing for Melbourne in Victorian Premier Cricket.

He stepped away from the Victoria side in October of last year due to personal reasons.

The 25-year-old was destined for a return to International Cricket late last year, with a 193 when he began the season for Victoria.

He then got a couple of Sheffield Shield games under his belt before deciding to step away from the game.

“We're pleased to see Will's progress and his desire to return to Second XI cricket,” Cricket Victoria's Head of Male Cricket David Hussey said.

“From the outset we haven't set definitive timelines on his return, but having played for Melbourne and the work he's done off the field over the last few months, he feels ready for this and we wish him all the best.”

Pucovski has shown his maturity by doing some commentary work over the summer of Cricket, whilst also opening up about some of the issues he has faced over the last 12 months.
Victoria's Second XI match against Tasmania will take place in Hobart on Monday, March 6 as will Pucovski returns to the lineup.
