Persistent showers at the SCG spoiled day two of the New Year’s Test between Australia and the West Indies.

A total of 11.2 overs were bowled across two sessions, with the final one entirely washed out.

From those 11.2 overs the Windies made their way to 7-248, with Carlos Brathwaite the only man out, bowled by James Pattinson for 69. Denesh Ramdin will resume play tomorrow on 30 with tailender Kemar Roach yet to score a run.
