Australian cricket fans are in mourning today with the news that former wicket-keeper Rod Marsh has died aged 74.

Following a serious heart attack suffered last Thursday in Bundaberg, Marsh was rushed to hospital. He was in Queensland for an event for the Bulls Masters charity group at the time.

He sadly suffered the attack and was rushed to hospital by Bulls Masters organisers John Glanville and David Hillier.

At the time it was said "a 74-year-old male was presented to Bundaberg Hospital with cardiac symptoms, and is currently in a critical condition."

Tragically, after being moved to Adelaide since, Marsh passed away this morning. The legendary wicket-keeper played 96 tests for Australia over 14 years in the 1970's and 1980's and is widely regarded as one of our finest ever players.

Vale Rod Marsh.
