Shane Warne has reportedly passed away aged 52. The greatest leg spinner of all time suffered "a suspected heart attack" and was found unresponsive in a villa in Koh Samui, Thailand.
A brief statement was released by the management of Warne in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement says.
“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course."
It's another terrible blow for the Australian cricket community after legendary wicket-keeper Rod Marsh passed away on Friday morning- also from a heart attack.
Australian opening batsmen David Warner paid tribute to the duo via his Instagram after day one of the first test against Pakistan.
"Two legends of our game have left us too soon," the caption read."
"I’m lost for words, and this is extremely sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Marsh and Warne family. I just can not believe it. #rip, you will both be missed."
