With the Ashes just a few months away, Shane Warne has named his Test XIs for both Australia and England for the upcoming series.

Warne has backed under fire Victorians Glenn Maxwell and Matthew Wade to perform in the Ashes, while he has also picked Usman Khawaja to return following his axing from the Test side in Bangladesh.

“Maxwell is the X-factor at No.6,” Warne told Sky Sports.

“He’s tightened his technique up a little bit and can really get hold of you.

“Matthew Wade is short of runs,” he said “Everyone was doubting his wicketkeeping, he was pretty ordinary behind the stumps. But his wicketkeeping has improved out of sight, but now his batting has gone off.”

Meanwhile Warne believes young English spinner Mason Crane should be picked to debut in the Ashes.
