Former Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle has recommitted to BBL club the Adelaide Strikers for another summer.

Siddle has played 68 BBL matches across stints with the Strikers and Renegades, recording a return of 90 wickets to sit eighth on the competition's all-time tally.

The 38-year-old joined Adelaide ahead of the 2017/28 campaign, three years after departing the Renegades, and captained the Strikers in BBL|11 as they reached the penultimate game of the season, The Challenger.

That campaign saw Siddle record 21 wickets, the most in the competition, from his 13 matches at an average of 19.00.

Siddle is now set to continue his tenure with the Strikers into BBL|12, with the Adelaide franchise announcing on Thursday that their veteran paceman has re-signed.

“I love the Strikers and playing in front of some of the best fans in the League at the best ground in the world,” Siddle said in a club statement.

“There have been some nice additions to our squad since last season while keeping the core group together and I am excited for us to build on our finals appearance last season and to see what the group can do together in BBL|12.”

Siddle's re-signing adds to the comes after the recruitment of Colin De Grandhomme, Chris Lynn and Cameron Boyce for the summer ahead.

The Strikers will open their BBL season with a match at Adelaide Oval against the Sydney Sixers on December 14.
