Rising Pune's Steve Smith and Ben Stokes have collided in the outfield during their IPL clash against Kolkata.

Both players were attempting to catch a skied ball from Nathan Coulter-Nile. Ben Stokes jumped and got his hands to the ball, however, Smith failed to stop, crashing into the Englishman.

Their momentum carried them over the line, causing Smith's head to hit the advertising board behind the boundary. Luckily for the Australian captain, the incident looked worse than it was. After a slight delay, he managed to shake off the collision, and carry on.

Kolkata would complete their innings at 8/155 off 20 overs. Dan Christian managed to take a wicket, finishing with figures of 1/23 off his three overs.

In the chase, Rising Pune lost Ajinkya Rahane (11 off 9) early, while Steve Smith (9 off 9) had little impact. However, Rahul Tripathi managed to compile an impressive innings of 93 from 52 balls.

The Supergiants would go on to win the game by four wickets, with four deliveries remaining.

Australian fast bowler Coulter-Nile struggled with the ball for Kolkata. He finished with disappointing figures of 3/41 off three overs.
