Australian captain Steve Smith has confirmed the home side's XI for the first Test against England on Thursday.
Smith told reporters on Wednesday morning, Chadd Sayers and Jackson Bird will miss out from the 13-man squad which was selected last week.
The Aussie skipper also said he was extremely confident opener David Waner would take his place in the side, despite suffering an injury scare at training on Tuesday.
However, Smith suggested a player is likely to come into the squad as cover for Warner.
