Victorian paceman John Hastings will miss the next four to six weeks with a broken finger.

Hastings suffered the injury during fielding training on Thursday, ruling him out of the remainder of the Matador Cup.

“John suffered an injury to his left-index finger during catching practice at training yesterday," Bushrangers State Sports Science and Sports Medicine Manager Nick Adcock said.

“After meeting with a finger surgeon this morning, the finger has been confirmed broken and will side-line John for between four and six weeks.”

Fast bowler Peter Siddle has been added to Victoria's squad.
