Australian batter Matt Renshaw has pulled off a stunning catch overnight playing for Somerset in the Royal One Day Cup 2022.

Renshaw, standing as a sole second slip, plucked a terrific one-hand diving catch after fast bowler Kasey Aldridge caught the outside edge of Surrey batter Ryan Patel.

Renshaw was understandably elated with his heroics and the removal of Patel, who has been one of the competition's best batters - scoring two half-centuries and one century in the tournament so far.

The wicket saw Surrey fall to 2/27 after 5.1 overs, but they were able to recover and post a total of 302/9 from their 50 overs. Somerset then only managed to reach 3/68 in a revised target of 112 from 12 overs.

Although his side sit dead last in Group A of the Royal One Day Cup, Renshaw has so far had a decent season, notching up 240 runs in the tournament including one century and one half-century.
