Australia captain Meg Lanning has led by example in Sunday's One Day International against England, taking the catch of the summer.

The hosting nation are keen to continue their impressive series against the Poms while having already retained the Ashes, with Lanning and co. immediately on the front foot in the second last match of the multi-format series.

With England already having their backs against the wall at 5/67 in the opening half of their innings at Junction Oval, a combination of brilliance between Annabel Sutherland and Lanning saw Danielle Wyatt dismissed without troubling the scorers from four deliveries.

A well-pitched delivery from Sutherland collected Wyatt's edge, with the ball flying to Lanning's right at second slip, with the Australian skipper making no mistake with a one-handed diving screamer.

The wicket was Sutherland's first of the match, with Ellyse Perry (two wickets), Jessica Jonassen (two) and Alana King (one) having all had an input prior to Wyatt's dismissal.

At the time of writing, England are 7/91 from 35 overs.
