during the Big Bash League match between the Sydney Thunder and the Adelaide Strikers at Spotless Stadium on January 18, 2017 in Sydney, Australia.

Former Australian international Shane Watson has proved he is still a force to be reckoned with at 36 years of age, smashing an uneaten 114 from just 53 balls for Sydney Premier Cricket side, Sutherland on Sunday.

Watson's innings, which is a perfect tune up for the upcoming T20 Big Bash, incredibly included 16 sixes and just one four.

The knock included the most number of sixes Watson has ever hit in an innings, overtaking his Australian ODI record of 15 he hit against Bangladesh in 2011.

Watson's remarkable effort helped Sutherland to an eight wicket win over Mosman in the T20 semi-final.

It is the highest T20 score ever recorded by a Sutherland player, with Watson overtaking Steve Smith's record of 85 not out in the 2008/09 season.

Amazingly, Watson's only four came off the very first ball he faced.

Watson's Sydney Thunder begin their BBL07 campaign on December 19 against the Sydney Sixes at Spotless Stadium.
