Adam Zampa has spun Australia to victory in the third and final international Twenty20 against Sri Lanka in Adelaide.

With the visitors chasing 188 for victory, Zampa finished with figures of 3-25 from four overs, claiming the crucial scalps of Gunaratne, the match winner in Geelong, Kapugedera and Shanaka.

James Faulkner also claimed three wickets, as Australia dismissed Sri Lanka for 146, 42 runs short of victory.

Earlier, Aaron Finch (52 from 32) and Michael Klinger (62 from 43) both scored half-centuries at the top of the order to help Australia to an impressive total.

Ben Dunk (28 from 21) and Travis Head (30 from 16) also chimed in with some valuable big hitting towards the end of the innings.

Despite the win, Sri Lanka claimed a 2-1 series victory over Australia.

Aussie fans don't have to wait long to see the national side in action once more, with the Test side taking on India in Pune in the first Test beginning on Thursday afternoon AEDT.
