With BBL06 now just hours away from beginning, we at Zero Wicket have dived into each squad to pick out the best XI from each team on the eve of the tournament.

Some players are away on international duty while others are still getting over injuries, so here is how we predict every side will line up in their first matches of the season.

Adelaide Strikers

Hobart Hurricanes

Captain Shane Watson will miss the opening two matches of the season with a calf injury, while a major player for the Thunder during the title-winning BBL05 season, Usman Khawaja, is away on Test duty. Eoin Morgan will miss the last few matches of the season with his own international commitments.
